BackgroundArch D. Granda

Arch Granda founded GrandWest in 1988 to provide interim management and advisory services to underperforming companies. He has been the interim CEO of various companies including those in manufacturing, marketing, retailing, distribution, food, advertising and publishing industries. He has participated in and directed engagements providing both operational and financial direction to clients in a wide variety of industries. He was the founder and managing general partner of Resurgent Equities I, a $25 million investment partnership formed with Westinghouse to provide needed capital financing to underperforming and troubled companies which has since been dissolved.

Experience

Prior to founding GrandWest, Arch was a senior officer of Westinghouse Finance providing turnaround and management services to high profile portfolio accounts. He was the EVP & CFO of Pace Membership Warehouse where he was instrumental in the $200 million IPO and debt financing for this rapid growth billion dollar mass merchandiser of consumer products. Arch held various senior executive positions with Gulf Oil Corporation in both the U.S. and Europe. In the U.S., he was the Chief Strategic Planning and Finance Officer for Gulf’s $16 billion refining, petrochemical, transportation and marketing operations. At Gulf, he was instrumental in planning and implementing wide ranging technology, marketing, reengineering and restructuring programs to streamline operations, reduce costs, lower working capital and improve profitability and market position of this multi-billion dollar operation. He held similar executive positions with responsibility for Gulf’s underperforming European operations headquartered in London. In Europe, he was responsible for the successful implementation of various technology, restructuring and profitability improvement programs as well as negotiating numerous acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures to improve European profitability and market position.

Arch began his career with PriceWaterhouse and is a CPA.
